Fighting COVID-19 means having the right protection

The pandemic is still with us and it’s important you learn how to find the best COVID-19 PPE.

What is PPE?

Well, it’s personal protective equipment and you don’t have to work in a hospital to have it.

Most regions in Canada and the U.S. no longer require the wearing of masks when in indoor public places.

But health officials also strongly recommend that wear a well-fitting mask, such as a N95 or KN95.

It’s that extra layer of protection when you are in the grocery store or at a wedding.

The benefits of wearing a mask indoors

Can face masks help slow the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19?

Yes. Face masks combined with other preventive measures, such as getting vaccinated, frequent hand-washing and physical distancing, can help.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends masks for the general public.

The CDC in Canada also recommends the masks.

So do most public health officers.

First, check on if you’re in an area with a high number of people with COVID-19.

If there are high new COVID-19 cases, the CDC recommends wearing a well-fitted mask indoors in public, whether or not you’re vaccinated.

The CDC says that you should wear the most protective mask possible that you’ll wear regularly.

It must fit well and be comfortable.

Respirators such as nonsurgical N95s give the most protection.

KN95s and medical masks provide the next highest level of protection.

Cloth masks provide less protection.

The CDC says that surgical N95 masks should be reserved for health care providers.

If you have a weakened immune system or have a higher risk of serious illness, wear a mask.

It should be a mask that provides you with the most protection possible.

Check with your healthcare provider to see if you should wear a mask when you’re in an area with a lower number of new COVID-19 cases and people with COVID-19 in the hospital.

Learning how to find PPE to stop COVID-19

Looking for KN95 masks to keep you and your loved ones safe?

With COVID-19 lingering in everyday life, a face mask is one of the most basic but effective ways to keep you protected.

According to the PPE maker Well Before, a KN95 mask and N95 respirator are similar respiratory devices designed for a close facial fit and highly efficient air filtration.

Well Before makes a wide variety of PPE, including masks and gloves, as well as COVID-19 rapid tests.

Those tests are vital in finding out if you are positive so you can isolate.

Isolating helps protects other people from getting infected. Learning how to find the best COVID-19 PPE protects you and others.

N95s are widely used by medical workers, but KN95s are great options for everyday use.

Secure Fit with Adjustable Nose Clip and Ear Loops

The KN95 face mask is designed with an adjustable nose bridge or metal nose clip and adjustable ear loops, says Well Before.

The multiple layers of nonwoven polymer fibers filter out 95% of airborne particles, including bacteria, viruses, germs, debris, allergens, and droplets.

The right masks to prevent catching coronavirus

“Every KN95 mask for sale is individually wrapped to ensure sterility and safety when you wear it,” says Well Before.

“You can carry multiple face masks and hand a spare to a colleague or loved one without fear of contamination.

“Our lightweight KN95 masks offer five layers of light, breathable protection.”

This includes a protective outer layer, a skin-friendly soft inner layer, and three filtering middle layers.

This gives you the most effective filtration possible.

“We ship your face masks in 48 hours or less,” says Well Before.

“We know you’re counting on these disposable masks, so we make it our job to provide them to you as quickly as possible.”

Changing rules for COVID-19

It’s important to stay updated in order to know how to find the best COVID-19 PPE.

That’s because things change at a rapid pace.

For example, Health Canada has now authorized the use of the Moderna Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine in children 6 months to 5 years of age.

This is the first COVID-19 vaccine authorized in Canada for use in this age group.

It marks a milestone in Canada’s response to COVID-19.

Approximately 1.7 million children are now eligible for vaccination against COVID-19.
